Text Box: Brides:   The dolls are reproductions  of antique French, German, or contemporary dolls.  Molds are made from the original heads and then liquid porcelain is carefully poured into them.  They are dried, silk-sanded and fired in a high-fire kiln.  They are then china-painted and fired many times over.  Eyes are hand blown glass or painted. The bodies are made of composition as the original antique, are leather or they are soft bodies over a wire armature. The wigs are made of human air or handmade of mohair The costumes are researched, then created and sewn by the artist.  All dolls have accessories and undergarments, which are also researched and could include corsets, pantlets, chemises, petticoats, and stockings, and are on a stand with a brass name plate.  A framed description is included.
