Text Box: Miscellaneous Dolls:  The dolls are reproductions of antique French, German or contemporary dolls. Molds are made from the original heads and then liquid porcelain is carefully poured into them. They are dried, silk-sanded and fired in a high-fire kiln many times over. Eyes are hand blown glass or painted.  The bodies are made of composition as the original antique or soft bodies over a wire armature.  The wigs are made of human hair.  The costumes are researched, then created and sewn by the artist. Dolls have accessories and undergarments, which are also researched. They are on a stand with a brass name plate.
